Autumn 2015 was a season of ‘news’. New job, new city, new house, new living situation. My well paid but uninspiring job was left behind and I packed my life into far too many boxes and relocated one hour north to become a writer/editor. I also moved for love. We’ll call him Mr S.

A new colleague carried out a very brief survey among friends and acquaintances and discovered that 27 is the optimum age of change. Unsurprisingly unscientific but shockingly accurate. It seems to take approximately six years from leaving university (based on a stereotypical route) for folk to figure wtf they want to do with their life and then have enough money/motivation/nerve to put it into action. Technically my 28th birthday was two weeks prior to moving but I did obtain the job and plan the shebang while still within the age frame.

I’m now trying to dedicate more time to my blog but it’s slow progress…
